Tells first name

1. Point to the child’s reflection or photograph and ask, ‘Who is that?’. Provide a 3-second pause to allow them to proudly state their own first name.
2. Play a roll-call game with a group of stuffed animals or family members. Call out the child’s name and prompt them to raise their hand and say, ‘Here I am!’, associating their spoken name with their identity.
3. When someone asks the child, ‘What’s your name?’, model the response by stating their first name clearly, and encourage them to vocalize it independently to introduce themselves.
