"Our son has become a changed child and student over the past two months. We and his teachers are amazed by the progress he is making."

Welcome to Cognitive Connections, we’re glad you’re here. By using several premier tools and techniques developed by Dr. Lise’ DeLong, Cognitive Connections is leading the way in linking Neurofeedback, Biofeedback and Cognitive Rehabilitation into a therapy practice referred to as NeuroCognitive Processing.
NeuroCognitive Processing (NCP) is an innovative treatment model developed by Lise’ Delong, Ph.D., CPCRT. NCP combines neurofeedback therapy with cognitive rehabilitation training designed to simultaneously treat both cognitive and physiological systems.
- We address two cortical states; focused/alert and relaxed. In times of physiological or emotional stress the body reverts to one cortical brainwave state of chronic stress and therefore is not able to differentiate between being relaxed enough to fall asleep or focused enough to stay alert and pay attention.
- Any disorder stresses the Central Nervous System; therefore as we retrain the individual to react to the stress in a different manner the characteristics of these diagnoses will decrease.
- After a medical diagnosis has occurred we address the symptoms and retrain the brain to ‘remember’ how to relax for better sleep and how to pay attention and remediate learning methods for mental function. These disorders may include:
- Anxiety
- Autoimmune Disorders
- Depression
- Hypertension
- Migraines
- Pain Management
- Sleep Disorders
- Obsessive – Compulsive
- Chronic Stress
- Tinnitus
Biofeedback and Neurofeedback training is coupled with Relaxation techniques including Autogenics, Visualization, Entrainment Music and Diaphragmatic Breathing to decrease stress and anxiety and improve sleep.
- ADD/ADHD
- ApraxiaAuditory Processing
- Autism
- Aphasia
- Dyslexia
- Language Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
- Memory Disorders
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Stroke
- Opposition Defiance
Cognitive rehabilitation is improving attention, processing speed, memory, hand-eye coordination, visual discrimination, executive function, visual memory, auditory discrimination and auditory comprehension.
Dr. DeLong has developed and used these techniques over the past 12 years in her private practice and has had tremendous results. Prior to her private practice Dr. DeLong had started a private Fine Arts Elementary and Middle School that utilized a brain-based philosophy in a multi-age classroom environment that has now developed into her NeuroCognitive Processing program.
Our Clinics are now located in Greenwood, Indiana and Walnut Creek, California (S.F. Bay Area).
